Trauma therapy & EMDR
Healing is possible.
Even when it feels out of reach. Whether you are carrying something heavy from long ago or simply cannot seem to put down the weight of right now, you do not have to sort through it alone.
Gina Cohn, LCSW

You might be here because
Something is asking for your attention.
Perhaps you feel constantly on edge, bracing for the other shoe to drop. Perhaps you are exhausted by a loop of thought you cannot interrupt, or numb in a way that worries the people who love you. Perhaps something happened, and it still lives in your body.
Our experiences shape how we see ourselves and what we believe we deserve. Those beliefs are learned, which means they can be unlearned. That is the work, and it is genuinely possible.

My approach
Safe first. Then the deeper work.
Nothing useful happens before you feel safe and seen, so that is where we begin. From there we move at the pace your nervous system can actually tolerate, toward goals you choose.
I draw on EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and polyvagal informed practices, not as a rigid protocol, but as tools I reach for depending on what you need on a given day.
Take the first step
Reaching out is often the hardest part. A free 20 minute consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see whether we are a good fit, with no commitment of any kind.
